I can remember ads for camera swap meets all the time, but ever since Ebay I can't even remember the last time I heard about one. The last all photographic gear swap meet I attended was over a decade ago.
I've found some neat stuff at flea markets, garage sales, etc... I found my Rolleiflex 3.5E Planar at a Kiwanis charity rummage sale. The guy wanted $150 for it and a bunch of accessories. I had no idea of the value, but it seemed like a really, really neat camera to me. I asked him if he'd checked the prices on Ebay. He said he didn't really do the internet. I bought the camera and stuff, and went home and checked Ebay. Similar models without any accessories were going for $500-$600!
Unfortunately it's hard to find folks who don't do the internet anymore.

Can't get the bargains that you could even just a few years ago...More & more people wanting the same things & paying more than the same items would cost at KEH in some cases...

That makes it a good place to sell. I bought a Speed Graphic a couple years back at a yard sale for five bucks, about a year later put it up for auction on ebay. Sold for $225.00 or so. I have also sold some lenses for much more there than I would have got from a forum sell section.
I too haven't seen a photo/camera swap meet in years.....
