Interested to hear your opinion on the tripod.

Umm recently I got a 28-300 from Nikon.

It's no 14-24 or 24-70 or 70-200, but it's surprisingly sharp and the little problems (barrel distortion at 28mm, vignetting... and CA) are easy to fix in post, so yeah it's a surprisingly good super zoom (going away next week, plan to only bring this lens, D3s and a Flash).

Something I can afford at last... A floating hand strap for a new underwater camera that is floating here from Hong Kong... Total cost was like $4.00 and IT WORKS! :woohoo:

A macro lens. I could not wait any longer so I went for broke. LOL Now there had better not be a financial catastrophe on my horizon.

Straight from Hong Kong the cheapeesiest (new word alert) camera known to man. It's waterproof to 3 meters and has 3 (count em) 3 ISO settings. Bring on the water park!

Cheap, used Tamron telephoto (70-300 f/4-5.6 tele-macro) just to use for now until I can afford a Canon L telephoto. The only telephoto lens I had before was the Canon EF-S 55-250 IS, but I finally upgraded to a 5D this year and needed a lens with that kind of reach for a full frame body. The longest zoom I had was my 24-105L.
