A little worried about your post now Rob. Was there a red light on the rider? Did you possibly add a bunch of saturation too?

To my eyes, a light touch is often best for photos. Unless you're going for a "photoshopped" look.

Matthew :)

The rider was bathed in a red spotlight so it was shot as is and I found it interesting color wise when I downloaded it .

I can picture the scene better now. The red works fine for the subject. It just seems to have a bit too much color in it.

Like you say, it could be close to SOOC (straight out of camera). I wasn't there to see what you saw. I do want to tone it down in my head though. Not sure why?

Interesting shot. The circus uses dramatic, often harsh light to emphasize and "awe" the audience. I think you captured it.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I squinted and think I figured it out. What throws me off.

It's that tiny touch of yellow on the helmet and the little bit of magenta on the handlebars. They don't fit with the posterization effect.

Maybe go ALL red, and remove those real "artifacts".

:)
