Renault World Series - Silverstone - Updated images...

God I'm knackered :)

Another attempt at motorsport today with changing light and trying to think of different angles rather than the side on ones I've taken on previous attempts...

I tried to stay in Manual (which I sort of regret) but sort of happy with what I've looked at so far.

As usual any feedback would be greatly apprecaited and how the hell do some of the regulars in this section of the forum get their shutter speeds so low, every time I tried I just ended up with a blurry mess on my screen :)

Manual focus or manual exposure?

Good work btw. :)

If the light doesn't change, then your exposures don't need to change either. **

An old school method is to point the camera at the grass, and meter it (in CWA mode). Then fuggidabotit.

The idea that the best exposure comes from metering each and every scene is a fallacy. In fact it is more likely to give you wrong exposures, than right ones.

Next time.. MF too. ;)

** Once your exposure is set, you can use reciprocals to control DoF.

I like them. i personally dont like to get my shutter speed to low ... i like the logos to be very sharp and it seems when I get to low they aren't as crisp as I would like to see.

Good balance of shutter speed to get sharp shots plus the blur of motion.

I like them. Good panning head makes all the difference and a lot of practice.
