Great day for a ride....

Yeah, lane splitting is legal. I can fly by a cop stuck in traffic with zero consequences. It's all what you're familiar with. I spend time in Oregon from time to time, but I'm always happy when I leave....hehe

This machine is awesome. I know how to ride a bike so it would be awesome to try this. Nice shot highlighting your ride. I am envious!

I might have tried a bit of a fill flash to make bike sparkle.

Exactly my thoughts! But really good ride. I am not a fan of speed but the colors of the bike are really catchy!

I heartily agree.  When I last lived down there in '86 I was riding a Honda Magna.  It was the only way to keep my sanity (I'm talking  traffic )   White lining was legal then and you could go right up to the front at red lights.  Don't know if it's still that way.

Anyways, I'm not really disparaging of the city.  I love tons of stuff about it.  So much to see and do, but I did my time and now wouldn't trade the trees of Oregon for anything. :)

Oh we have trees down here.  In fact we have the world's largest trees and the world's oldest trees.

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.

????
All of California is “down there” when contrasted to Oregon.
The Giant Sequoia, the world’s largest tree is a Native Californian.
The Bristlecone Pine, the world’s oldest tree is also a Native Californian.
