You're on the right track for sure. Critical focus acquisition
is your next step. Possibly revise your approach to BBF and
focusing options.

Can we go back a notch please ...
You have given us an image to look at ... there is no exif data supplied ... how do you expect us to critique the image and give you any sort of 'reasonable' information?

May I invite you to go back to the beginning and
a) describe what it is that you are wanting to achieve, and
b) provide exposure / lens data [camera brand does not matter]

Sorry. I was trying to achieve good motion blur while keeping the subject in focus.

My focal length was 43 MM. F22 | 1/50 | ISO 100.

May I suggest ƒ8, 1/125, auto ISO, BBF, CH or CL
making sure you disengaged AF from the SR.

Light is free… capturing it is not!
