HALP!!!

:(

Oh. God.

I knew I'd do it someday.

I only recently got comfortable changing settings and this morning, I had an early shoot and I wasn't fully awake.

Yesterday, different shoot, different ISO.

Did I CHECK my settings when I got to the studio this morning?! OF COURSE NOT!!

So I now have an entire shoot of poorly shot beautiful people. Is there ANY WAY to fix the grain or am I screwed?

Short answer: You're pretty much out of luck. You can't undo grain, other than using judicious sharpening + noise reduction. And even then, you can only accomplish so much.

Call the customer and schedule a make-up shoot on your dime.

One of the most important habits to develop is to check your settings first thing, before you ever get started. Suggest you set them the night before while you're collecting and organizing all your gear in preparation. (You do get ready the night before, right?) Then check 'em again in the morning. And when you arrive at the location.

Yes, we've all done this. I did an entire outdoor, nighttime wedding (3rd shooter, thankfully) with my exposure compensation down by almost 2 stops. Really, really stupid. Helped drive the point home, though.

I think you need to re-shoot :(

A desperate measure *could* be to go through the different RGB channels then use the one with the least noise with a curves adjustment.

Been there, done that. Reshoot is in your future....

One of the habits that I have formed in the last couple of years is to set the camera back to the base iso when I put it in the bag, in fact I check the exp comp and other settings too and zero them out as well, now I do it without thinking and it really helps. ;)

It is what it is.
