question does anyone take pictures at night of stars?
This is with a Canon Xsi, 50mm f/1.8 wide open and 20 sec exposure (note the meteor streaking across the center.cwightmanphotos wrote: You want to use the faster lens you have. For instance I have a 50mm 1.8 lens. I use that for night time shots. I have shot several star trail pictures and it's a great lens for it. Use a long exposure. 30 secs and longer. Put the camera on the bulb setting.
