They had stopped using the belt in schools here just before I started.

My son's school seems to be trying to use some kind of positive reinforcement by rewarding the worst behaved kids and ignoring the good ones.

I went to scout my old school. The headmaster’s office is now the deputy’s office. I said to him I had a few hidings in this office. I pulled out the canes. Still there for history sake. I left 1976!

That's now a societal ideal here in the USA....Failing badly.

Life is not easy.
Do kids still learn that there is consequences for actions?
Our birth rate at school is sky high. Mostly fathered by teachers. Mostly in rural places. (Cultural influences)

Those cases aren't tolerated here.  But lately it's been female teachers sleeping with their students.

Only two things aren't "tolerated" in pubic schools (sic)...Religion (except one) and the American flag.

I think here now they try to teach about all religions in those classes. I used to hate that class when I was in school - all those who taught it made it such a boring subject.

It should not be a subject. Learning about the creator, miracles, prophesies... It can be practical and fun. Like the two pot plants in the lab. One prayed over, one swore at.

It was, now only one is tolerated by American academia...The "I" one.
