This morning I did my spiritual boost and in the afternoon i did a “braai” of chicken pieces, boerewors (sausage made with beef mince and spices) and “braaibroodjies” toasted sandwiches with cheese onion, tomato an chutney.
The salad and a bottle of wine was waiting on the table.

There is a joke here a woman that can make a good “braaibroodjie” (BBQ sandwich) will have lots of potential husbands.
Traditionally women prepare the food, the men just do the work at the fire.
The joke is, men get all the tanks at the end of the day, ignoring the woman’s preparation work which is twice as much effort.
