I played piano years ago, but haven't played in, well  um years. Would be nice to get a piano, but wife says I can only have one expensive hobby.

Canon EOS 7D|Canon EF 70-200mm F/2.8L USM |
Canon EF 50mm F/1.4 USM |
(2) Canon Speedlite 480EX II

Easy fix - get a cheap electronic keyboard, write her a love song with it, and then she'll let you have a piano!

I learned a little guitar when I was a teenager. Haven't played in more years than I would like to tell.

HAD a couple cheap electric Les Paul copies. An acoustic 12 string & Applause 6 string.

NOW, probably could not carry a tune in a bucket!

Not I. The music gene skipped me. My Dad played fiddle (and taught himself the organ). My son taught himself guitar at an early age. Perhaps he priming his grandson to follow him.

Working on getting some better vids of the band my son plays with, Nekkid Country.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Drummer of about 25 years here. At one point I 'made it'. But the bottom fell out of the scene and I went in to recording studio mode, and owned a modest studio. It's one of the things I can toot my own horn about, as I really was good at drumming.
I gave it up about 11 years, 3 months, 4 days and 17 hours ago (but who's counting!? ).
I still have some guitars, basses and keyboards that I mess around with. I played bass for a while and loved it. I joined a top 40 band, where I played bass and sang. But that was short lived because of the other people in the band (just couldn't keep it together). Now, I play drums to my blinker, and continue to worship Neil Peart.
I've been tinkering with the idea of getting an electronic kit to play on. My son is playing bells for his school band. It sucks because they don't allow anything with strings or drum heads!! WTF?
It's funny seeing all the videos of TV shows and interviews we were on way back then, sufacing on youtube and facebook.

I am a drummer of 50 + years and still playing. I have played in Rock & Roll, Country, Blues and Jazz Bands. I have been a member of the National Association of Rudimental Drummers since the age of 12 and I continue to teach and examine others. I got my first set of sticks and a snare drum at the age of 7 yrs. and formal lessons soon followed. I played Snare Drum in various DCI Drum Corps and Snare Drum with the Highland Bagpipes Corps as well. My current kit is by Pearl although I have owned several to include Ludwig and Slingerland.
