I've been doing this for awhile. I notice though, a lot of people ask a question, and never come back to the forum.

most of them are 2-3-4 months old and the folks that posted them have only made that post
so do we need to fill up the forums with 3-4 month old post for folks that have not posted in months

100% agreement. Many of the No Replies are from months ago and have 1 or 2 posts (some just the "intro" post). I have been going at it today and think I have answered about 50 where I had some clue. As Slealthy Ninja says below, some of them I answered after I did a quick Google search.
Unfortunately some of the questions are "What lens should I buy?" with no other info. Then they never come back so the answer is wasted.

That's a wonderful idea. I just joined and haven't asked any questions of my own, yet. And I don't know much, but maybe I can answer some of the "newbie" questions. If someone takes the time to join this website and ask questions, they should at least earn a reply. Thanks for being the group's conscience.

The "latest" No reply is over 2 months old. At least we can keep it "clean" from now on. If the post is over 2 months old and the poster has only one (maybe two) total post, chances are they are not coming back. I did notice that most had quite a number of "views" so someone cared enough to look at them.

Archive or delete at some point". Opinions?

Under 700 now.

Yeh I think a lot of the questions like: "My camera can't take a photo, what's wrong?" and then they never come back, can't be answered without more information.
