Are you talking about firing your camera's shutter from a distance?

Assuming you are talking about triggering the camera shutter from a distance, there are all sorts of cheap wireless remote controls on eBay which work OK - up to 30 feet perhaps, but they can be a bit iffy if anything gets in the way. I had one of those for a couple of years but eventually decided to go for a more professionally made remote that had other features as well. I gave a description in a post on this forum a week or so back. It is the Giga T pro wireless remote

It is $99, so only get something like this if you want the extra functionality.

If your camera has a IR port you can find a lot of inexpensive IR triggers on eBay, I got one for 9$ and it works!

Good point - the Giga Pro does mount in the flash socket (it plugs into the remote control socket on side of camera) and if you want to also use a flash, you just let the Giga Pro hang from its cord. It does that without any issues (although it would have been nice if they had a pass through flash socket on the top.
