My friend and I just signed up for an Italian food cooking class this weekend.  I'm so excited.  Cooking, good wine and friends.  Fun times to come!

It is turning winter for me, but being close to the coast we never have temperatures close to freezing point. I need to travel through the mountains for an hour or two to experience the odd 32F.
Winter mornings here are mostly 40-50F. Max today, 77F.
(Advert for Cape Town.) ;)

No plans yet, but for sure we'll be wine-ing around.  We hit wineries about once a month all year-round.  But in summer we'll drive further and stay longer.

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.

Oh man that sound like fun!  Gary, every so often, will make his own pasta.

Sounds like Gary's California ... 'cept winter snow is less than an hour away in the local mountains.

We do not have snow for more than three weeks on our mountains every winter.

Our local baby mountains, the San Gabriels and San Bernardinos, have snow for two to three months a year (10,000').  Our real mountains, the Sierra Nevada, from Los Angeles are about a half day drive to the southern end, a full day's drive to the northern end, has glaciers (albeit presently they're in decline, but they are glaciers nonetheless).  This year, Californians will be skiing well into July.

The past two day we hit 80F out here.  Looking to the north, Gary can still see snow on the mountains.  It is all so nice. :cheer:

Gary belongs to six wineries (down from a high of 12 wineries) which ship out quarterly cases of vino.  Additionally, he is a member (Angel) with Naked Wines, and he gets a few cases a year from them. (And Gary grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Merlot and Pinot Noir in the backyard).
