The Coffee Shop: A place to relax and hang out.

Ian Stone wrote: Now do you get up to Napa Valley much?

Gary hates Napa. Napa is over-commercialized. Everything in Napa is expensive. Napa is like Disneyland for rich alcoholics. Gary prefers Sonoma, due west of Napa County. Equally good vino at better pricing. Gary is a member of Russian River Vineyard in Sonoma County.

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.

We have arrive at Lincourt Vineyards in Los Olivos for our first tastings. Upper 80’s, nice breeze and no humidity to speak of, dry as a bone. We’re outside sipping vino in the patio. Soooo relaxing the photo is from our table.

Off the beaten path is  Chalone Vineyard. Make that way off the beaten path is Chalone at the border with Pinnacles National Park. But it was all worth the drive. The wines are delish and the Winery is build in a Live Oak Coastal Woodland. Beautiful. The stairs leading from the parking to the tasting room is literally built through and supported by an oak. All the grapes are sourced from their vineyards. Most wineries will commingle grapes from different vineyards.

We are supposed to be going wine tasking with a group on Friday after work.  Can't wait.  Never been to the place we are going too, but it's supposed to be well priced and a large variety of wines from around the world.
