Advice on pet photography

I have a pet rabbit, which I love taking pictures of. However I would like to get pictures that don't look like the typical pose, point and shoot shots. If you know what I mean. So anyone have any advice for photographing a rabbit?

Get down low. Shoot on the rabbit's level. You could place the rabbit on some white sheet/paper to get some stock images or put the rabbit outside in the grass. Lay down on the grass and start shooting. Give it carrots or a toy to use as a prop.

Put the rabbit outside and lay down on the ground you will get some pretty good shots

If you have any children you could have the kids play with the rabbit, create some cute playful photos.

Hmm different shots with a rabbit, how different do you want to go...

I would love to see a shot of a Rabbit in a caserole pot with some winter veg (no water and obviously not near a cooker) but think it would be quite amusing :)

Would he sit still long enough in an old boot ??
