Shooting wearing glasses/EVF/Screen/type of glasses.

To the many optical glasses wearing photographers out there, I would really be interested in some opinions and suggestions on all the frustrating options especially considering speed and lighting affected scenarios. I can shoot without my glasses but am very disadvantaged when I try to look at the scene/subject. Wearing transitional lenses makes it even harder. Single long view lenses make it impossible to use the screen view. Putting glasses on and off at hundred miles an hour doesnt help either. Personally I prefer EVF and manual focusing hence my problem. Relying on auto focus is resulting in a considerable amount of un-sharp shots. Contact lenses are no option for myself. Just thought some of you have worked out a better way then me, I hope.
I have downgraded from my big SLRs to the Canon G3X with an EVF. (Superb little machine by the way!)
Thanks and happy shooting
Michael

Have you tried using one of those Hoodman eye cups?  I wear glasses and it helps a lot.

Thanks for the reply, will investigate.
The EVF has a decent eyecup on it but maybe a larger one could help.
Thanks again
