Question for anyone...
If I used a white background (such as foamcore) brightly lit by a couple hot lights, why would I even need a flash? I should just be able to shoot away at 1/250 or faster shouldn't I?

Well, it wasn't raining today, but this did look like fun.

Here is an early attempt - the one that got away:



Then I tried harder and managed to get a shot that works very nicely:



Hands up for a little bit of photoshop wizardry. The second shot is a combination of three images. One of the glass with a nice flow of wine, one of the rest of the flow bent a bit in Puppet warp, and then one of the bottle neck with a nicer pattern of liquid.
