What to use to clean lenses and filters?

I've been googleing and so far there are many mixed opinions on how to clean the front lens element properly. Some suggest methyl alcohol, some suggest 70% isopropyl alcohol, some suggests distilled water.

I know there's a protective coating on the front lens element and there are those who say using alcohol could damage that. So, you might just say using water is enough, but in my opinion, they don't remove fingerprints very well and they evaporate slowly.

What about a lens filter? I'm guessing it's different from the lens element but do you still use the same technique?

So my question is, what do you use?

I use the cleaning kit that came with my camera when I bought it. It's nothing fancy, just a blower, some solution, and a cloth.

Breath and soft cloth. That's all I do, and it gets the job done.

Personally I use Eye Glass Cleaner ... I started using it when I saw a camera shop use it. to clean a filter. Since I wear glassess, it is always available and I have a many soft eye glass cleaning cloths. It works for me so far.

Same here considering I never used it to clean my glasses

When I have to clean my sensor, I use the cleaning wipe (throw away) from the Dust-Aid kit to clean my lenses. I use my breath on the front and rear element if necessary.

It is what it is.
