Can I get your opinion of this tripod?

Just asking for opinion, what you think of it.  I saw another photographer with this tripod and it looks pretty decent in person.  Just curious on what owners think of it?

I read the specs on these things, at that price point, and the only thing I have to say is,

3 Legged Thing

My Albert (with a very nice ball head) runs circles around that, even though it doesn't quite reach that height. But I don't need 84", so that's okay.

3LT makes a taller one than the Albert.

84" is way to tall.  Seems to me, extra weight that I would need to carry around more times than that crazy height would come in handy.

Benro makes an OK tripod.  I have a friend who has a Benro tripod.  Actually he has 3.  2 are smaller ones, kind of cheap.  However he uses for holding his time lapse rig.  He does have a larger one that isn't too shabby.  One of the legs was giving him problems.  However he got that fixed.

3 legged thing makes a very good line of tripods as pointed out.

I'm a Sirui customer for the last 2 years. I heard good things about their tripods and ended up getting their waterproof w-2204.  Great investment and would recommend that one to you.  They just came out with a new line too.

I always thought Benro was a cheap tripod brand.  Seeing this tripod reminds me of that $80,000 VW sedan that didn't do so well.  VW is branded and known as being a inexpensive car and then they roll out with a $80,000 luxury car.  Same relationship exists with the Benro brand IMO.  The almost need a rebranding or splinter off the luxury tripod to it's own company.

Sorry not a Benro guy.  I would rather get a one of those Manfrotto, Sirui or 3 legged things
