Holdfast Money Maker with L brackets and tripod???

So I just took the advice and picked up one of these. Love it,  but just one hiccup.  Actually, I'm faced with huge problem.  When you have L brackets on camera bodies, with the little D-Ring used, you  can't fit these on tripod with out having to get creative with the positioning on the ball head.  Or you need to remove the D-Ring.

Kind of a pain in the butt.  How are you guys doing this?

I do it the old way, with ordinary (but safe too!) straps.

The only way to use a tripod quickly is to mount the body
vertically with the L bracket and tilt the ballhead to the side.

I see that some makes of brackets have the same hole
on the vertical of the L bracket… that would be your
solution.

I had same problem, what bracket do you have?

Nikon Shooter - the problem with that is that most of the l brackets don't have enough room to get a D- ring strew (or what ever they are called) into the holes to mount to camera.  they aren't wide enough to have it become completely flush.

I saw article on Fusion L bracket that has little arm thing that swings out.  So I sold my other l bracket and using this one.  Works fine for me.  Oh and I don't have the money maker, I have their solo strap.

I use exclusively Kirk L brackets and they don't have the hole.

In Summer, the Canadian I am suffers very much from the heat.
I wear no vest over a loose shirt, carry nothing in my pockets nor
such contraption. I use a normal strap with all my cameras and,
the most precious, an assistant(s) that will take over the bags and
others so I can try to stay cool… doesn't always work! :(

With the use of normal straps I do not face the same problem.

You don't specify which L bracket you acquired, and that's rather key here, don't you think? There is more than one manufacturer. Have you looked at (the above-mentioned) Kirk, 3 Legged Thing, Sunway? Search Amazon, B&H, etc for starters, and see what your options are.

What do I do? I don't bother with an L-bracket. I find flipping the camera over to the side when using the ball head has been just fine. If I acquired a bracket, I'd probably be okay because I use a wrist strap most of the time, which woudn't interfere. Using my Spider Holster, I am usually walking without the tripod; with the banalier, I'm also walking.

I accept that if I am going to use my tripod, it's going t slow me down. That doesn't bother me in the least.

Please forgive my lack of clarity, as well as the typos in my post.

Yes, I refer to the SpiderHolsterPro, as I use a DSLR.
