Great Canon EOS R5 Lenses

The Canon EOS R5 is, frankly, one of the most capable professional-grade stills cameras on the market today.
But, I personally believe that there is no reason to spend thousands of dollars on a camera body without decking out your camera with an equally incredible lens.
However, there are a ton of Canon EOS R5 lenses to choose from and many of them are nearly as expensive as the Canon EOS R5 itself. So, how do you know which Canon RF lenses to choose?
We’ve got you covered with this list of the best Canon EOS R5 lenses. I have included a range of Canon EOS R5 lenses so that, whether you can spend thousands of dollars or only a few hundred you should be able to find a Canon EOS R5 lens that will work for you.
Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM
The Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM lens is one of my favorite Canon EOS R5 lenses because it allows you to get super-wide viewing angles while also offering you a removable hood.
This lens comes with a 5-stop stabilizer and features a minimum focusing distance of 0.28m. Importantly, this lens is also the only Canon-brand lens that will let you get a wider view than a standard zoom lens. This lens also features an incredibly fast Nano Ultrasonic autofocus system.
I use this lens for just about everything. In fact, as I explain in the video above, this is really the only RF lens that I need - and it might be the only one you need too.
You can pick up the Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM lens on Adorama for $2,199.
Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
I definitely could not complete an article on the top Canon EOS R5 lenses and not include this lens which is definitely the best standard zoom lens for this body.
This lens also features a 5-stop stabilizer and a relatively low minimum focusing distance of 0.45m.
Just like the lens above, this lens also features the super fast Nano Ultrasonic autofocus system. It weighs in at 700g, which doesn’t feel at all clunky when you put it on the Canon EOS R5.
The f/4 aperture might turn some people off, but for my needs, it’s plenty fast. Besides, it’s one of the cheaper L-series RF lenses, so trading maximum aperture for a smaller price tag might be an attractive option for you.
The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM is available on Adorama for $1,099.

Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
If you’re looking for a telephoto lens for your Canon EOS R5 then you don’t need to look any further than the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM.
This lens features a 5-stop stabilizer, a minimum focusing distance of 0.7m and weighs 1,070g, which is considerably less than other lenses that can make your mirrorless shooting experience subpar.
This lens doesn’t actually have a fixed physical length, which is great for travel due to its compact size. This lens does come with three different modes that will allow you to apply stabilization at will when tracking your subjects.
You can purchase a Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lens for $2,600 right now.
Canon RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM
Rounding out our Canon EOS R5 lenses article is the Canon RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM.
This lens is not only the cheapest of all these Canon EOS R5 lenses, but it can do the most in terms of range. Like all of the Canon EOS R5 lenses on this list, it comes with a 5-stop stabilizer and the Nanon Ultrasonic autofocus system.
It features a minimum focusing distance of 0.5m and weighs just 750g.
This is also a “superzoom” lens that features a 10x zoom range so you’ll never need to carry an additional telephoto lens on you.
The Canon RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM is the cheapest Canon EOS R5 lens on this list at $700.
