How to Carry Your Camera Gear Like a Boss
- If You’re Still Using a Single Shoulder Strap, You’re Doing It All Wrong
- The Worst Things About Your Camera (and How to Fix Them)
How many times have you encountered a photographer somewhere that looked completely overwhelmed with their gear?
I’m talking about people like the guy in the photo below who have tons of stuff to carry, but no means to do so in a way that’s functional or comfortable, for that matter.

If you tend to shoot with multiple cameras, you need a better solution than two or three camera straps wrapped around your neck.
And I’ve got just the solution…
Meet the Holdfast MoneyMaker
There’s a lot to love about the Holdfast MoneyMaker. I’ll get to all the details below, but for now, what you need to know is that this harness is a Godsend for photographers that need two or three cameras at-the-ready at all times. I’m talking to you wedding photographers out there!
As you can see above, the MoneyMaker puts your cameras right on your body where they’re simultaneously at your fingertips, yet out of your way, too.
That means it’s a functional way to carry the gear you need but won’t interfere with your ability to work.
I mostly shoot landscapes, and I usually have my MoneyMaker Solo (the single-camera version) with me. But on those occasions when I need my Nikon D850 and my Sony a6300, my MoneyMaker is my go-to strap.

The Holdfast MoneyMaker is the Height of Comfort
The MoneyMaker is handcrafted from full-grain leather, which means it offers you a level of comfort that’s hard to come by with other straps.
That comfort level actually increases with time as the leather conforms to the unique contours of your body.
I can attest that my MoneyMaker was comfortable the first day I used it, but as time has gone on and the leather has been broken in, it fits like a glove.
When you have a long day of shooting ahead of you and a ton of gear to carry, comfort is certainly not something you want to skimp on!
The MoneyMaker is Supremely Functional
In addition to putting your cameras right at your fingertips, the MoneyMaker gives you the option of carrying even more gear, like a camera bag.
The integrated D-rings are perfect for adding a Holdfast bag to the back of the harness.
Pictured above is the Sightseer Bag paired with the MoneyMaker.
Other Holdfast bags are compatible with the MoneyMaker, too, like the Fundy Streetwise Bag and the Roamographer Bag.
Think about it - all your gear, right there on your body. You can easily reach everything, access your bag, and you don’t have to put any of your gear on the ground. See what I mean in the video above by Holdfast.

The MoneyMaker Has Unmatched Build Quality
As noted above, Holdfast uses full-grain leathers to make the MoneyMaker (though other materials like python skin and cotton canvas are available too).
When you look at the leather up close and the way it’s been put together and stitched, you know that hard work and passion went into designing and constructing the harness.
The stainless steel hardware pairs beautifully with the leather, too. But, of course, the hardware isn’t just for show.
Instead, the beefy, custom-made metal components ensure that your gear is safe and sound as you carry it around.
In that regard, the MoneyMaker isn’t just functional and comfortable and beautiful. It’s a security net for all your expensive gear that helps you get it safely from one photo opp to the next!
