Rome is an ideal playground for photographing architecture, as seen in today’s Inspirational Photo of the Day. But in this case, the linear shapes of the columns in the foreground provide a gorgeous contrast to the flowing, billowy storm clouds in the background. This image also highlights the value of a good sky - the texture of the clouds adds tons of interest as does the burst of color in the upper right corner of the shot.
