When taking photos at sunrise and sunset, it’s not just the great light and colors in the sky that you can use to draw people’s attention to your photos. Instead, as David W. Shaw demonstrates in this shot, the beautifully long shadows created by the low angle of the sun can be a rather interesting element. The lines created by the grasses in the foreground create lots of interest, as does the undulating texture of the sand.
