With video becoming a more and more common pursuit for photographers and with the importance of video as a marketing tool continuing to increase, it only makes sense that people are investing in movie making programs more than ever before.
There is plenty of choice - with dozens and dozens of video editors to choose from.
The question is, does Kizoa warrant your investment?
In this Kizoa review, I offer my thoughts on this online movie maker after using it for about six months.
Kizoa Features
One of the things that stands out the most about Kizoa is that it's an online editor, so you don't have to download anything to use it.
In fact, you don't even need an account to give Kizoa a try online.
Once you're in Kizoa you find a host of features that are specifically designed for making high-quality videos an easier and less time-consuming task. This includes:
Along with the video editing tools listed above, Kizoa is packed full of other features that help you accomplish other tasks.
There's a collage maker, an image editor, and even a platform for ordering images and gifts using your images too, as shown above.
Kizoa's Ease of Use
Kizoa is incredibly easy to use, which is why it's such a good option for beginners.
As noted earlier, it's browser-based, so there's no messing about with downloading software or having to update it down the road. That also means that your work is saved on the cloud and can be accessed anywhere.
The editor itself has an intuitive and easy-to-understand layout with tools that are grouped logically and labeled well.
At the top of the editing window are tabs for photos, the movie maker, the collage maker, and so forth, as shown above.
Once in the movie maker, the same user-friendly layout continues.
At the top of the screen are tabs for photos, transitions, effects, and so forth, as seen below.
At the bottom of the editing window is a slider that shows the order of your images, though, this is in the "start from scratch" mode.
You can start your video-making process with a pre-made template, which has music, transitions, special effects, and so forth already integrated, so you can automate the process of creating a professional-looking video.
You can add assets to your video via drag and drop, such as photos from local storage or adding text, video effects, animations, music, and so forth from the Kizoa library.
Kizoa has plenty of video tutorials on their YouTube channel to make it even easier to get familiar with the program and become a master video editor!
Kizoa Free Account
As stated earlier, you can start using Kizoa for free. You can sign up for a free account and access a limited number of tools for a year.
The free account also comes with 1GB of file storage and the ability to download up to two-minute videos in 720p resolution.
You can share your videos by different means as well, including on social media and via email.
The only downside is that the Kizoa logo appears in the video, but that's to be expected for a free account.
Kizoa Premium Accounts
Kizoa premium plans start at $29.99 and go up from there.
What's nice about the premium plans is that the cost is a one-time fee - there's no recurring charges like you find with other video editors.
The $29.99 plan offers 10GB of storage, 10-minute video downloads in 720p, and no Kizoa logo on downloaded videos.
As you can see above, there's a range of other plans that cost between $49.99 and $299.99.
Kizoa iOS App
One super handy feature of Kizoa is that it's not just a browser-based editor, but also an app-based editor.
Available for iOS devices, the free Kizoa app gives you the ability to create and edit videos and slideshows while you're on the go.
You can create videos in landscape, portrait, or square formats, perfect for sharing videos to platforms like Facebook and IGTV.
There's hundreds of special effects to choose from, and you can add multiple effects to the same scene if you'd like.
The app also has the option to start your work from scratch or begin with a pre-made template.
Kizoa Customer Service

As I mentioned earlier, Kizoa has plenty of tutorial videos on their YouTube channel, so if you find yourself confused you can easily access assistance.
Kizoa customer service (which is for premium plan members only) can be contacted via telephone at (844) 898-4403.
Calls are processed during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm EST).

In other words, the pros certainly outweigh the cons. This is a great video editor, particularly for beginners that are looking for an easy-to-use platform to get their feet wet in videography.
