The Zac and Jay Show, an ultra-popular YouTube channel made up of a witty duo, decided to send their friend, a "confident, unfashionable, blank canvas of a man" to London Fashion Week as a model in the most ridiculous outfits they could create.
It worked.
Anything Goes in Fashion
London Fashion Week is known for odd outfits nobody would ever be caught wearing on the street. High fashion is a game of elitism. Expensive outfits are seemingly thrown together and nobody is the wiser. Cue Zac and Jay.
The Creation of the Outfits
The friends started looking for clothing at the "bottom of the barrel" department store all Londoners are familiar with, Primark. It's essentially the Walmart of England fashion.
After dodging an unenthusiastic clerk, and an overly enthusiastic elderly couple who told Max he was going to look great when he overconfidently confided to them he was going to be walking a catwalk later, the friends had what they needed for their first oufit.
After a trial run, the friends abandoned the first outfit (which Max equated to a diaper).
The inspiration for the outfits came from a slew of places, including the likes of Kanye West, the royal family and the supervillian from the Incredibles.
The Execution
After a hilarious few minutes of Max telling himself in a mirror that he is, "the world's most famous model," and consequently wondering how he ended up in this spot in life, the boys were ready for the first big reveal.
After only a few moments of running after Max (who accidentally left his coat on and made his friend's take it off for him in his diva state), photographers swarmed.
Day Two
Feeling emboldened by the success, the trio decided to send Max out on another day of fake modeling to see if he could infiltrate London Fashion Week.
This time, they didn't hold back with his outfit.
Sporting bright pink latex gloves and a collar made out of plastic bubble wrap, Max successfully got swarmed with photographers and walked right through the front doors of one of London's most exclusive events.
He met celebrities and even ended up on a famous reality show star's Snapchat, introducing the "newest trend," and complaining about how his agent made him come.

Whether this is a lesson for photographers is yet to be seen, but it is a lesson in confidence for anyone, anywhere.
