Congratulations! If you have a Fuji GFX 100S medium format camera, you have one of the highest resolution cameras in the world!
Now the only question is, what lenses should you pair with it to see the best results? With only 13 native Fuji GFX 100S lenses, you might think it’s easy to pick the best ones, but since they are all outstanding, it’s no easy task.
Before we break them down, one final piece of advice is to consider purchasing second-hand lenses. It’s a fantastic way to save money, and if you know where to look, there are some incredible bargains to be found.
One resource I’ve used time and again is MPB. They are an online platform with a huge selection of cameras and lenses. Better yet, they have a great selection of Fuji GFX lenses. If the lens you are looking for is unavailable, don’t fret. Their inventory is constantly changing, and if you keep checking in, one will pop up for sale soon.

Best Standard Fuji GFX 100S Lenses
If you are looking for an excellent everyday lens, the Fujifilm GF 50mm F/3.5 R LM WR is a phenomenal option. Measuring 84 x 48 mm and weighing only 335 grams, it’s the lightest and most compact Fuji GFX 100S lens on the market.
With a desirable equivalent focal length of 40mm, it’s ideal for street, travel, and landscape photography. Moreover, the image quality is superb, even when shooting with the aperture fully open.
Speaking of aperture, the F/3.5 maximum aperture is good but not great. It works well during the day, but the low-light performance leaves something to be desired. On the bright side, it creates a beautiful bokeh effect which makes portraits pop.
Other things to note are, it has a 0.55-meter minimum focusing distance, a durable metal construction that is fully weather-sealed, and a 62mm filter size. Additionally, it is very affordable compared to other Fuji GFX 100S lenses. Overall, if you want a small, budget-friendly lens, this is the lens for you!

Best Wide-Angle Fuji GFX 100S Lenses
One of my favorite Fuji GFX 100S lenses to shoot with is the Fujifilm GF 32-64mm F/4 R LM WR. It’s a wide-angle zoom lens with an equivalent focal length of 25-51mm. Thanks to that versatility, you can use it to capture dramatic landscapes, stunning real estate photos, and more.
The first thing that stands out about this Fuji GFX 100S lens is the excellent build quality. The exterior is made entirely of metal, and it features high-quality premium glass inside. Furthermore, it is entirely weather-sealed to protect against moisture, dust, freezing, or whatever else mother nature may throw at it.
With 14 different lens elements (three of which are extra-low dispersion elements) and 11 groups, image quality is another area where this Fuji GFX 100S lens excels. It produces terrific corner-to-corner sharpness, especially when shooting with low apertures like F/32.
A few other things to keep in mind are that it has a constant F/4 maximum aperture, an easy-to-use manual aperture adjustment ring, and a linear autofocus motor. While I generally prefer to use manual focus, having the option to use the speedy, silent AF is wonderful in specific settings.

Best Telephoto Fuji GFX 100S Lenses
Without a doubt, one of the best Fuji GFX 100S lenses is the Fuji GF 110mm F/2 R LM WR. It’s a premium telephoto prime lens built with professionals in mind. While some people might prefer the versatility of telephoto zoom lenses, the image quality of this Fuji GFX 100S lens is in a league of its own.
Once you factor in the 0.79x crop of Fuji medium format cameras, this lens has an effective focal length of 85mm. It’s an ideal focal length for both product and portrait photography, allowing you to crop in close on fine details and faces.
On top of that, the maximum F/2 aperture is the second-lowest of all the Fuji GFX lenses. There are two primary advantages of having a low aperture lens. The first is that it performs better and delivers sharper images in low-light conditions. The second is it creates jaw-dropping, buttery bokeh effects.
Additional features I want to highlight are its advanced autofocus capabilities, a solid build quality that is fully weather-sealed, and the fact that it has four low-dispersion elements built-in. The low-dispersion elements add extra contrast to images and help reduce and eliminate unwanted artifacts like chromatic aberrations and color fringing.
