Let me start by saying that I don’t normally get excited about new website launches. There are hundreds, if not thousands popping up every day, and to be honest, in most cases, each new one is a lot like the rest. So, why am I writing an article letting you know about this one? There are two very simple, very good reasons:
From the eye candy on the homepage, to the galleries of pro photographers who use Singh-Ray products(over thousand photos and over 35 galleries from top photographers), this site is an absolute treat to browse. Trust me; it’s worth taking the time to visit just to see the images. Still, I wouldn’t be writing about it if it was just another gallery site. You’ll find the pages full of great tips on techniques for taking your photos to the next level. There are videos from pros like Adam Barker and Tony Sweet with clear, concise instructions on how to improve your shots in the field. There’s a blog as well, with great articles by pros like Cole Thompson, Gary Hart, Jack Graham and many more.
When it comes to checking out their products, the process couldn’t be simpler and you won’t be straining your eyes to get a good look at an item or gritting your teeth while you try to work your way to details and specifications. Product photos are big and crisp, and every one is paired with a simple, straightforward description that tells you exactly what the product is for, along with tips for using it. Sizes and options are displayed in a drop down list. Select a product and the price is displayed along with the option to buy. This is how shopping on the Web should be.
Now, about those products: First of all, Singh-Ray filters are made in the USA with materials like NASA-quality glass. You won’t find better quality and value, and you can read the testimonials from professionals on their site if you need more than my word. These are the filters you want in your arsenal.
You may recall that I used the word “unique” in describing their products. Sure, these guys offer all the standard filters - UV, Skylight, CP, ND, etc. They also offer much more. For instance, several of their circular polarizers provide a specific effect, such as color enhancing, warming, intensifying and a “Gold-n-Blue” that I love.
Their specialty line includes filters like the Tony Sweet Soft Ray, which adds that subtle, masterful glow to your photos that you work so hard to create in post processing, right in your camera. There’s a line of filters designed for shooting video, a wonderful infrared filter, and so much more. Best of all, they’ve worked with several professionals to put together several combo packs, each with a specific purpose, from protection to landscape photography, to long exposure. Of course, you’ll also find a full line of accessories and the perfect case to hold your filters.
I could go on and on about this new site and Singh-Ray’s filters, but with the launch of this new site, there’s no need. Everything you need to know about their products and much, much more is there, easy to find, along with some great images to inspire you.
Why are you still here? Go check it out:http://www.singh-ray.com/. You can thank me later.
