There's no point in telling everyone all over again about how popular landscape photography still is. You know it, I know it, and every other photographer knows it. It might not be a very profitable branch if you're looking for material rewards, but for everything else, including the simple joy of shooting, it's the ideal type of photography.
The real hardcore landscape photography fans still use film cameras, mainly medium format and panoramic ones. While they do, indeed provide unbelievable results, even when compared with the latest DSLRs, buying and using them costs a lot of money that isn't necessarily going to return. Pros who make a living from it use digital medium format cameras, but they probably have mortgages on their houses. So I think it's safe to assume that most landscape lovers out there satisfy their needs with DSLRs and mirrorless cameras and that's totally awesome.

Canon 5DS R
When it became official, everyone thought it was a replacement for the 5D MkIII. Well, it's not entirely so. The 5DR is a somewhat different animal, mainly because it's designed for high resolution stills. With an amazing resolution of 53 megapixels and no anti-aliasing filter, this is a real beast for landscape photography. The sharpness and details are impressive, but so is the file size, so you should consider purchasing extra storage space for your computer.

Nikon D810
This might have been a predictable choice, but you can't overlook this beauty. The D810 was believed to bring little improvement over the already amazing D800, yet it's an entirely different camera that makes everything even better for the Nikon photographer. High resolution, incredible detail, rich tonality and dynamic range make it a favorite with enthusiast and professional landscape shooters.

Sony A7R
