Photography is all about timing and capturing the right moment. Its ability to “freeze” time is behind some of the most famous images in our history and it’s also what makes it so much fun.
Today’s cameras are really fast and missing the perfect moment is a lot less likely. But sometimes you don’t even need a camera than can shoot 10fps or has 60+ AF points. Sometimes even a slow, basic digital camera will do the job if you press the shutter release at exactly the right time. Of course it has to a lot more with luck than science or skill, but once you nail that awesome, perfectly timed shot, it doesn’t even matter.
Some of these perfectly timed shots are so funny it almost makes you think they were directed.

If you want to capture shots like this yourself, remember to sue a fast shutter speed, preferably faster than 1/125th and to work on your framing. Because opportunity usually doesn’t last very long, it’s important to have a very quick eye and an even quicker finger on the button.
