If you ask me, half the battle of becoming a better photographer is to find inspiration for your work.

Fortunately, we live in an era in which taking and sharing photos has never been easier, so there's an unbelievable collection of photos out there that can get your creative juices flowing.

If you've been visiting PhotographyTalk for any amount of time, you likely know that we have an Inspirational Photo of the Day selected from the images our members upload to our galleries. That's a great place to start for some photography motivation!

And obviously the heavy hitters like Flickr, 500px, and Instagram are loaded with incredible talent as well.

In this article, I'd like to focus on a few amazing photographers to follow on Instagram.

Stephen McMennamy

Perhaps one of the funnest feeds you'll find on Instagram, Stephen McMennamy's work focuses on combining two photos together into one crazy creation.

Not only do these "combo photos" demonstrate an incredible level of creativity and whimsy, but they also show an attention to detail in post-processing that will impress even the most seasoned of photographers.

And while his photos likely require an incredible amount of time to pull off, there's a lightheartedness to them that reminds us why photography is so much fun in the first place.

Scrolling through his feed, you'll find dynamic images with saturated colors and bold light, yet his photos have a softness to them at the same time. That's why he's a top pick of photographers to follow on Instagram.

Sangeeta Dey

“Listening to the Ground” “Take a walk at night, and walk so silently that the bottoms of your feet become ears.” ~ Pauline Oliveros Today (July 18th) is celebrated as the World Listening Day. As a clinician whose work involves thoughtful listening to get a deeper understanding of clients’ lives, this is a day that should be celebrated every day. However, listening is a skill that I still need to work on outside my professional domain. This year’s theme is “Listening to the Ground.” It honors the life of Pauline Oliveros, a composer who spent her life in the advancement of electronic music and promoting the art of deep listening. In her words, “Sometimes we walk on the ground, sometimes on sidewalks or asphalt, or other surfaces. Can we find ground to walk on and can we listen for the sound or sounds of ground? Are we losing ground? Can we find new ground by listening for it?.” This is probably the perfect day to hear the world around us. #WLD2017 #Global_hotshotz #majestic_earth_ #cool_capture_ #photoarena_nature #naturewhisperers #inspiring_photography_admired #dream_image #jaw_dropping_shots #gottolove_this #splendid_earth #thebest_capture #b_picturess #igs_america #greatshotz #special_shots #magicpict #phototag_it #nature_sultans #igpodium #ig_exquisite #ig_impulse #viewbugfeature #artofvisuals #nikonlove #superhubs #princely_shotz #neverstopexploring #moodygrams #patagonia

Ross Couper

Being born and raised in Zimbabwe, it's no surprise that Ross Couper's specialty is photographing African wildlife.

LA is a Dubai-based visual artist that has a breathtaking collection of images that has a youth and vibrancy to it.

His complex photo manipulations stand side-by-side with clean, simple portraits, and though the subject matter and technique are far-ranging, there's a common thread of edginess that makes his Instagram feed feel like a curated collection of fine art.
