Alex Bartsch, a self-proclaimed reggae fanatic, wasn’t satisfied simply listening to old vinyl. He wanted to recreate them, to bring them back to life for photographers and music fans alike.
So, Bartsch told PhotographyTalk he set off on a 3-year journey. He sought out the original locations of vinyl covers, brought the vinyl along with him, and reshot the scene.
Some of the photos with historic landmarks, like Buckingham Palace, haven’t changed much. Others, like London’s back alleys, are transformed alongside the decades-old albums.
