MP is only (mostly) a factor when you're going to print your images, the higher MP the larger the print possibilities.....That being said, I printed some fairly large images using my 12 MP D700.

That's all you need honestly.  I do enjoy the 36.3 from the d800 though from time to time.  I've used a hasselblad 60 mp, and phase one 80 mp cams and I grab my D3s the most.

Those are some impressive cameras, what are you shooting most of the time?

I don't own a Hassy or phase one, but I've edited a lot of files professionally when the movie industry was more prevalent in Michigan.  Both cameras really only in commercial shooting and they're being out done with cheaper cams, hence the huge price drops on the blads.

I personally shoot fine art, landscape and some commercial.

And the world is flat.  Hasn't history proven things never stick around long enough till something new comes out?

Okay the comment about the Hassleblad just made almost fall out of my chair... Have you seen the newest model, 007?

Also, I'm down at 24 as well, just because of the fluidity of the image and the clarity on our devices today. Don't really need anything way above that.

Last I knew the they released a 100 mp cam.  I know they had the 200, but that was multi-shot.  The 3FR and 3F files were always fun to edit with but I never liked the way Hassy handled their purple tones in their files. Phase one medium formats are where it's at.

I have a Billingham bag, and one of our other Agents has like 3 or 4? He loves them.

You talking about John?  If so, I think he has 12 of them.  LOL, actually I'm not sure how many he has, however I do know he has a number of them.  PhotoPlus show last year, this exact subject came up.  I just can't recall how many he has!

Adrian has a few I believe.  John has half their inventory! :kmonst:

It will be a lot cheaper to start with your existing camera.  If you don't already have a telescope, pick one that can be fitted with the advanced camera though.
