MP is only (mostly) a factor when you're going to print your images, the higher MP the larger the print possibilities.....That being said, I printed some fairly large images using my 12 MP D700.

That's all you need honestly.  I do enjoy the 36.3 from the d800 though from time to time.  I've used a hasselblad 60 mp, and phase one 80 mp cams and I grab my D3s the most.

Those are some impressive cameras, what are you shooting most of the time?

No, your late.  Memo went out, I won

I should also point out the irony of the situation too, the area I was photographing was a large square in the middle of the city which was under 24 hour CCTV surveillance...

Hardly an expectation of privacy there...

It's not that simple though. The very same freedom people in public are enjoying is the same freedom you are enjoying while photographing in public.

I was stopped by the police once and asked what I was doing...'I'm taking photos' was my answer. The officer politely suggested that I stop and move on, I declined and continued to take photos as I was well within my rights and was not offending anyone, or getting in anyone's 'face'...

I was using a 100-400, so most of my subjects were not even aware I was taking photos. The cop probably only noticed because of the white lens...

The dog had just launched so it would be impossible to get separation unless you shot it at f-1.8 or something and I would say the success rate would be extremely low.

I'm a blend of both depending on the client

Good topic to chat about.  For me, it has been a mixture of many that you have listed.

Social media is a hit or miss but from my experienced for finding clients, barely paid for it self.

Google and Yahoo paid search - about the same

Word of mouth - very good

Business directory's - very good

Relationships with wedding and events vendors - good (very cut throat and on/off)

Which directories do you use that work?  I've not had any luck with them.

What about me?

OK, I'm admit I'm bored.  I'm sitting here with my right leg in a cast for the next zillion years.  At least I can count on PT for some good convo.

Personally right now, I'm waiting for this back massager to come in the mail that my husband ordered for me while my leg recovers.

What about you?
