It will be a lot cheaper to start with your existing camera.  If you don't already have a telescope, pick one that can be fitted with the advanced camera though.

That other bag looks good, but how will that leather hold up in rain and all the elements?

I have a Billingham bag, and one of our other Agents has like 3 or 4? He loves them.

You talking about John?  If so, I think he has 12 of them.  LOL, actually I'm not sure how many he has, however I do know he has a number of them.  PhotoPlus show last year, this exact subject came up.  I just can't recall how many he has!

I've  been creeping closer to getting into astrophotography and just looking at how to capture shots.  Do I use my Canon 60D with a T mount onto which ever telescope I finally pick up?  Or do I use something that is made specifically for astro photography.

I'm just trying to figure out, what's the difference in terms of final image taken between a Canon 60D and for example this camera here -  http://www.stellarvue.com/starlight-xpress-trius-sx-694-camera/

I'm going to have to follow suit with John on this one.  #2 is my favorite with #1 as a close 2nd.

My pick for the day:  www.photographytalk.com/photos/389077

I like this shot because it reminds me of this small lake that I grew up on  "Lake Cossayuna".

Love the atmosphere in this one!

:agree:  Anyone else get a 'Sleepy Hollow'  sense from looking at this master piece?

Fantastic shot Keith! I really enjoy being around water and this is one of those shots that I can just jump into!

Indeed, the fog works well here. Gives this a 'Sleepy Hollow' feeling to it!

One good way to know and see if a scene (street, country scene, peoples, etc...) is to adjust your camera for B & W that way, you can see immediately in B & W before the click. I’m in RAW all the time witch mean when I transfer you see the picture in color, that’s mean your color it’s not lost; from that base, you can change to B & W because you’ve seen those picture before the camera click.

Only the fact to eliminate the color in the camera, it remote the distracting color, the way to see different it’s magic!

I also have my default at B&W, easier to see if you got the image you wanted without the colour...

I also shoot RAW+JPEG and use the raw converter to adjust the B&W image...
