Even though the Sirui T-025 tripod only weighs 1.3 lbs., it’s built with advanced technology to support as much as 13.2 lbs. (6Kg) of equipment. For example, the new Canon EOS 5D Mark III weighs just less than 2 lbs. and the largest Canon telephoto zoom, the 100–400mm f/4.5–5.6L IS, is just another 3.1 lbs.

Such a seemingly “small” tripod is able to perform so well with heavy-duty equipment because of its excellent build quality. The people at Sirui have an entirely different approach to the design and construction of tripods than most manufacturers. Instead of traditional metal castings, Sirui applies advanced forging technology that makes the metal stronger within a smaller footprint.
