6 months later, I may be moving to a Z7!  Don't know yet, it's one of 4 cameras I'm looking at.

When you look at mirrorless cameras that have been released in the last 6 months or so, what is your opinion on who takes the cake?

I'm currently using a Nikon D700 and looking to make a move to mirrorless.  I'm leaning towards Z6 or Z7, the EOS R looks intercepting and then out of the blue, I started getting interested in the OMD E-M1X.

Which has you most excited

John replied to the topic 'You think we'll see a 36MP APS-C sensor?' in the forum. 4 months ago

garyrhook wrote: If you take the pixel count of the D850 sensor and do the math, cropping would produce a sensor of just under 30MP.

Or, put another way, a 36MP crop sensor would have the same pixel density as a 57MP fullframe sensor.

Does that seem reasonable? Possibly. But at some point you really want a larger sensor with that larger count. Or mayhaps it's just me.

I bet you this year we'll see both Nikon and Canon jumping over the 50MP sensor size.  :beerbang:

Fantastic, great clarity guys.  What's funny is that I thought for sure there might be some BS law that would slide us into the boiling water.

You know what, another question on the same example above.  Imagine you captured another 'Bliss' shot.  Now, seeing we are talking about a unique shot here, could back in the day another company in Microsofts space license your image to use? At what point would this become an issue?

Today actually felt like spring a little.  I started to think after seeing this beautiful scene show it self in front of me.  It reminded me of Windows 'Bliss'  https://www.photographytalk.com/photography-articles/7987-the-story-behind-the-photo-you-won-t-forget

I mean it looked so darn close.  So my question is, if you took this photo and turned out the color tones were pretty close, and the clouds just happened to look like these, would there be any issues?  I mean in this example you took the photo, it's yours so could you sell the photo legally?
