A canon 1d series or nikon d5 would be a higher tier i believe.

Good post Joe, I just don't agree with this quoted sentence!

For wildlife AND sports, I use two long lenses on gimbals/tri-
pods and freehand gear too.

:agree: Actually I'll take it one step further and say there are few situations that I really wouldn't benefit from having a tripod used.  Tripod is hands down one of my most important tools in my camera bag.  Well not inside of it, it's strapped to the outside.

I agree.  Also, once you go high end carbon fiber, you'll never go back.

Regardless friends, we have a number of changes and updates taking place behind the curtain.  The team is always working on ways to improve your experience here.

So don't be shy with letting us know if you experience bugs or functions that we can improve.

I tend to have mixed results myself in regards to Gary's problem.

Some of the art series lenses from sigma are better than their L counterpart for IQ.  L series weatherproofing is another thing though.

Greg Friedman wrote: Hey guys.   I'm currently shooting Nikon, however looking at getting another camera body.  I want something that has superior autofocus intelligence.   I know Canon has their dual pixel thing going on, and Sony has their Phase detect.  I'm talking top tier cameras if it makes any difference. But who has the better autofocus tracking?

Both Canon and Nikon flagship cams have stellar focus systems. Just your preference.

Because had I shown the super cute live thing, you'd hate me for ever for having killed it!

Seriously?
  • Did I have contributed enough to the wildlife section to suggest my deepest respect for it?
  • This is an event that can, should be documented. The horror is not in the body but in the useless lost of a young and beautiful life.
  • Maybe this is a way to get on with mine.
  • I know some would have preferred to show the damage to their vehicle but only the plate was slightly warped… rather insignificant compared with the consequences.
Is it too shocking? I could ask to have it removed.

well said, nah you’re good man, i was just curious.  Nice way of showing respect.

country, I made sure I documented the event… just in case,

When you drove home from the hospital, were things different?  LOL

I remember the drive home after Caleb was born.  I was driving with both hands on the steering wheel and driving 10MPH down the freeway.  I wasn't driving that slow, but I was driving A LOT slower than I normally drive.

How is the little one and your wife?   How are you holding up?

You are definitely more cautious!

Little guy is doing great. Wife is healing up pretty good (c-section). I'm good! More sleep that I though I would get, but not as much as I am used to.

It changes your life for sure!
