Glad to see everyone is on the same page.
Not something I have seen advertised either. Best bet is to stay away from canvas discount sites. There are a number of high end canvas shops, you'll pay more, but you'll at least know you have a quality product.
Have you shot with film recently? I get it, it's old, expensive to process. But it's fun. Seriously, you have this sense of jumping back in time. This is where a photographers skills shine, because you don't have much of anything auto helping you.

My wife and I went on a hike early this morning and we came across a pile of raw fish in the middle of the path. We stopped because it was so out of the ordinary to see this here. I started to kick the fish off the path and then 2 photographers came running out and started to ask why I was doing that. Apparently they were off in the bushes hiding and placed the fish there to bait bobcats to photograph.
Really? They planted this stuff to lure in wild animals into this public path. I don't know, I might be wrong, however I thought this was way unethical and could be harmful to the animals AND humans. I argued the point, however these two photographers seemed to be lacking common sense.
Let me get your opinion, do you feel this is right or wrong?

Control of depth of field will always be an artistic control that is important. We aren't talking about unit of measure that is performance related like ISO or MP. So yes, it's very important, that f/2.8 and all the other stops Gary mentioned that fall below it too.

Both are good but one brings waaaay more flexibility along.
Hey Alex, where are you heading up there?
