David Saffir is an internationally recognized, award winning portrait, commercial, and fine art photographer and printmaker. He lives near Los Angeles, in the Santa Clarita Valley, California. He is past President of the Santa Clarita Valley Professional Photographers Association.
He is the author of the book Mastering Digital Color: A Photographer's and Artist's Guide to Controlling Color, published by Thomson/Cengage. His second publicaton, The Joy of Discovery, was released as a large-format photography book. He is a designated Datacolor Expert.
Examples of publication credits include Rangefinder, Great Output, After Capture, Pro Photo West, Professional Digital Imaging Association, Professional Photographer, the HP Pro Photo Blog, Visionary Photographers, Photo Technique, and Digital Imaging Technology.
He has taught web seminars/video sessions for Datacolor, Nik Software, HP, and the Professional Digital Imaging Association on photography, digital capture management, color control and workflow, and printing. He was a conference level speaker at the Rencontres d’Arles photography conference (France), Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, PMA, the Texas Photo Expo, and other venues. He has taught Master Classes, conducted portfolio reviews, and live photo shoots at Photokina, Cologne, Germany.
