If you’ve been searching for the perfect camera bag for event photography, then you know exactly how exhausting it can be.
A good event photography camera bag has to be both stylish and comfortable. It needs to be lightweight enough for you to drag it around with you for a 14-hour day, while also being large enough to hold all of your gear.
Basically, a good camera bag for event photography is incredibly hard to come by, which is why I was so excited to try out the Small Sightseer Camera and Lens Modular System.
It’s got a big name to match its awesome specs.
You Can Make It As Big As You Need To
The Small Sightseer Camera bag is a slightly smaller version of Holdfast’s Sightseer Camera bag, which basically sells out so fast you’re lucky if you can get your hands on one.
But, what makes the Small Sightseer Camera bag the best camera bag for event photography is that you can essentially make it as large as you need it to be.
The bag itself measures 11” x 8” x 5”, but it comes with a large leather piece that wraps around the entire bag creating a series of loops. This leather piece creates multiple attachment points so that you can add smaller Holdfast bags to your Small Sightseer bag.
For instance, if you need a little more room in your bag, then you can attach one of Holdfast’s lens pouches to it so that you don’t have to worry about fitting your lens in the main pocket of your bag.
You can also attach a cell pouch to keep your cell phone on you at all times.
And, if you need even a little more room, the bottom of the bag is typically zipped shut. If you simply pull that zipper back, your bag will expand a few more inches to allow you to carry more gear.
Or, if you are a high-profile wedding photographer who needs to bring at least two cameras and five lenses with you to your shoots, then you can actually attach the Small Sightseer Camera bag to your MoneyMaker harness. It has a little steel ring on the top of the bag for just this purpose.
A good camera bag for event photography should be versatile in size.

It’s Full of Features
Another reason why this is a great camera bag for event photography is that it has so many features.
For instance, despite its small size, this bag can still fit up to two cameras and an extra lens. Each one of these cameras and lenses will be safely distanced since the camera bag comes with removable padded dividers.
The bag also features two velcro pockets in the main compartment. These pockets are designed for easy access, so they are perfect for storing extra batteries (or any other gear you may need at a moment’s notice).
It also features an external pocket. I use this external pocket to hold my business cards, since the best event photography accessories are the ones that help you to get more business. However, you could also use it for a shot list or any other small gear.
It’s Stylish
Like I already mentioned, if you’re going to be using a camera bag for event photography, then it not only needs to be practical, but it needs to be stylish.
That’s why I appreciate the Small Sightseer Camera Bag. It comes in a few different classic colors: olive, black and navy. It also features stainless steel hardware, which won’t rust in the rain if you find yourself shooting outdoors a lot.
Plus, this is a great camera bag for event photography because of its price. At $475, you’ll never need to purchase another camera bag for event photography again.
