Why These Galaxy Photos Are Being Compared to Warhol Paintings

The Spitzer Space Telescope is more than just a mouthful, it's an ingenious leap for the world of photography. And it does more than create cool backgrounds for your desktop, too.
The Spitzer Space Telescope records different galaxies, universes and worlds in a variety of different light.
So, in the photo above, our eyes would likely see the Whirlpool Galaxy as the picture on the far left, but the telescope isolates different infrared wavelengths and creates Warhol-like images we would otherwise never be able to see.
Spitzer also has incredible scientific uses for those of us who don't just read about photography for hours every day. It helps NASA spot asteroids before they crash into the Earth's atmosphere like this one last week.
Editor's Tip: When creating a portrait, the background behind the subject can either enhance the shot or detract from the subject. To ensure the background in your portraits does the former and not the latter, invest in a good photography background. Photography backgrounds are easy to set up, and if you purchase a vinyl background, they're extremely easy to clean and care for. There are tons of designs and styles you can choose from, so you can customize the look of your portraits to suit your aesthetic.
If you, like me, really do care more about the gorgeous photos, you can view more of them on NASA's Spitzer website.
