First of all, I am not a Canon troll. While I do use both systems, I will always favor Nikon when it
comes to photography. But I have to admit that sometimes I wish I had wider
aperture options than f1.4. I know that the argument here is the outstanding ISO
performance of Nikon cameras and that you don't need a brighter lens, but it's
not all about the brightness. Sometimes the differences in bokeh between f 1.4
and f1.2 are quite noticeable (they are very noticeable on video) and as a
Nikon user I think it wouldn’t be a wrong move to add at least a 50mm f1.2 lens
to the lineup. Anyone else feel the same?

Nikon does have a f/1.2.
Nikon's 1.2
Relax, no harm taken. I also use the old, trusty 50mm 1.8 D a lot, especially on film with my N80.effron wrote: Not me. Example, I have a 50 f/1.4, and a 50 f/1.8. I....I use the latter more often.....
I also apologize for asking if you were a Canon plant. I was just joking. We all know Adrian is the Canon shill around here.....

Yeah but he wants an AF-S version of it.
To the OP no I would not like an AF-S version of it. The manual one works just fine when you have a focusing screen in your body.
