What is the most annoying photography trend these days?

More power to you if you make money doing this, but photographing newborns who are barely out of the womb wearing tutu's and knitted caps while lying in a basket.

Black and white. That'll never catch on.

Seriously though. I don't like instagram style filters.

No we can't.

But, yeah, boasting about HW is just a symptom of GAS.

People who buy "pro" camera bodies and then ask how to use it or what can a spend money on next as they have so much money.

'Gear heads' who join forums to talk about gear and the minutiae of the ins and outs/advantages/disadvantages/ of various gear and methods. They seem to put my technical knowledge to shame and they always have advice for you about taking the best images.
They never post images themselves and if they do -  you are absolutely blown away by the fact that they haven't got a blooming clue on how to take a good image :D

Lots of 'em about but - hey, if they get a kick out of talking the talk instead of walking the walk who am I to criticise?

:agree:
Nice first post Pat. And I do agree with most of what has been said so far.
For me it is the not worrying about the shot as much, because of the I can fix it in post attitude from some I have shot with in recent years. I know I maybe old school but I do try to get the shot as right as possible when shooting it.
Another thing that drives me nuts, and again it applies to my above statement. Is turning a turd of a shot into B&W, and then calling it art, or cool. And when did over exposing become high key?

I'm seeing this more and more in the Architectural magazines (although in color).

Personally I love black and white images, because I've always been and will be a black sheep, so to speak.

I agree with you on the selfies, especially in the bathroom.  Enough already.
