How to create a water dress on woman?

9 years 9 months ago #390940 by Tim Dordeck
I have been using a friends studio during his off hours and I can't seem to get this figured out.  Is this something that has been done out of camera and then buttoned up further in Photoshop?  Or is something like this completely Photoshop?

3 photos that I have found on Google and shown as examples.

I like the milk look to this splash.  I'm guessing something like this would be 3 or 4 splashes combined into one composite?

This one is by far my favorite and what I would like to achieve

Serious photoshop time spent on each of these images.  I would guess there are 3 to 4 water splashes to each.

I remember seeing an article on this some time back but can't remember where. My thinking was it was too much work to fool with. I like the images a lot but I wouldn't go through what it takes to do it.

Cool effect, not a clue how this would be done.  Sorry I'm no help.

This reminds me of something Nick Saglimbeni might teach.  Nick has these Photoshop retouching courses that are insane: http://slickforce.com/index.php

Thanks cod! Awesome video! I am guessing he used "whole" milk for thickness rather than non fat or 2%! ;-)

When I saw the article on this, they actually poured the liquid on the models numerous times. They then merged them together using masks to blend the best effect from each pour. It is a real cool effect.

Elaborate lighting set up, cool idea though.  Anyone here give this a shot yet?

I didn't look at the tutorials above, but 3 or 4 seems extraordinarily unrealistic for a clean and well done photo like that.  It's probably an elaborate composite for something like that

Have a look at this guy's website http://aurumlight

He travels worldwide doing tuitions on these type of images. They are normally 2 days. Day 1 is taking the shots and throwing loads of liquid around and Day 2 covers the post process side which is the main part.

His tuition events sell like hot cakes and cost around £350 for the 2 days

The images are awesome.
