Is it safe to use Paypal when selling stuff on Craigslist?
It is a scam, as is anyone wanting to pay you with a greendot card. For CL I put cash, and local only. I would never ship to anyone for any reason on CL. Also I do not have a Rapepal account either, I closed it many years ago when Fleecebay took back the payment from something I sold, because the recipient claimed I did not ship it. This despite have a perfect record. Fleecebay owns Rapepal, and in my opinion are crooks.

What would happen, if you chose to follow through, is what is described above. The buyer would say they never got the item, PP, would reverse the funds, and you would have no way to prove your case or contest the claim. Or, if you agreed, they might tell you that they are going to pay you more than you ask, and would you kindly provide both the extra $$ and the item to an "agent" that will pick up the lens.
This is why, when using CL, you specify local, and cash only. And you meet at a public location for the exchange. Like, for example, a bank. On eBay you have to vet the buyer, too. I've had no trouble, but I do very little on eBay now.
So change your ad, and just ignore anyone that wants you to ship the item.
