Yikes...

I've seen some pretty bad portraits over the years, but these take the cake.

The Zaring family found out the hard way that not all photographers have the same skill set.

Upon receiving their photos from their photographer, they found images that were so overly retouched that they looked like crash test dummies instead of real people. If you want to learn how to make photos like this, just scroll to the bottom of the article for a tutorial!

The photos are tragic, to be sure. But the Zarings are at least taking their bad experience with a grain of salt.

In a Facebook post that's now gone viral, Pam Zaring noted, "This is too funny to keep to ourselves."

Fortunately, they weren't out a ton of money, either. The photographer charged $250.

Of course, given the unspeakably poor quality of the photos, that $250 price tag was way too high.

But you can't put a price tag on a good laugh!

Unfortunately, it took quite some time for the Zaring family to get their photos in the first place.

Pam noted in an interview with WTVD-TV that, "I was fully prepared to be scammed, money gone, and no final product! So the humor was much easier to find. Trust me, at one point my blood boiled anytime I was asked about the status of our photos!”

When they finally got their photos, the Zarings confronted the photographer about the quality.

The photographer blamed the bad lighting and she also noted that she was never taught to properly edit photos by her professor.

Despite the terrible quality of the photos, the Zarings won't be asking for a refund - the laughs from these have been worth every penny.
