Non-Pro camera with most features?

So I don't know much of anything about photography except the bare basic of basics. Heck I've never even owned a camera that wasn't built into a smartphone.

Disregarding the facts I mentioned above, I'm not one who likes to buy something that's cheap and then have to worry about spending even more money down the road to get more features. So I'd rather jump head over heals into something I can learn and grow into at the same time.

Would prefer a camera that isn't going to run me $6500 just for the body (EOS-1D X Mark III) as I don't plan on doing any professional type shoots, so only makes sense to try and find something that might be somewhat equal to a pro camera minus the pro price. Does something like this exist?

A few things I'm interested in doing with the camera is both night/day pictures and video, so something that can handle low light conditions in either mode. For sure want to do some local sports, NASCAR, action shots and video. MACRO is very interesting as well as astrophotography. And of course some of these things might put me in bad weather conditions so the camera would have to have good seals.

With those things in mind... what would you suggest for a camera and what lenses would you suggest?

Because of the fast pace of evolution in digital technologies, cameras
are made obsolete by always newer releases on the market. That opens
opportunities to access bodies that will come on the second hand mar-
ket well before the end of their useable life.

The Nikon D700 or D750, for example, are good bodies to fit the bill.

My knowledge being limited to Nikon gear, it is the only one
I can express opinions on… but there are others brands too.
