G'day Gary

Heaps of fast action on display there ~ along with the dump-in-the-dirt that follows. Some ponder as to "why do some blokes do it - coz it's dangerous" and the Q supplies the A anyway

Of the pics I like #1 and #4 - for the action and timing of the action

Thanks Phil.  Yeah, crazy stuff.  I was a jock in high school and college and I have a very good, first hand conception of sport's injuries ... but the propensity for injury, serious life-threatening and long-term injury, is crazy in rodeo. I once read a report by anthropologists studying early man looking for clues to how they lived.  They determined that early man was not a vegetarian because all the broken bones and injuries reflected in their skeletal remains mirrored the injuries of rodeo cowboys. Consequently, the anthropologists concluded that early man ate meat derived from large, fierce  animals.
